8 Years Today!

Time flies when your having fun! Unfortunately, I don't have any wedding pictures to post. We lost the negatives and were never able to have any of them enlarged. The proofs are still at my parents house with a hope that one day we will have negatives made. Here are a couple of our engagement photos...
Here is a brief history for you....

Brian and I grew up together in Utah. We have known each other since the third grade. However, it wasn't until High School senior year that sparks started to fly. Brian's mom signed him up for a sports sewing class to fill an elective credit. I ended up transferring into the sewing class from my anatomy class because I kept passing out. I have a hard time talking about bones, muscles, tendons, etc. (This is very ironic because my degree is in sewing and Brian's, as you know, is getting his M.D.) Anyway, I had already taken all the sewing possible, so I was just in there to sew for fun and help the teacher. Brian apparently needed a lot of help because I spent most of my time helping him. Come to find out, he was playing dumb to get my attention. I was starting to think that he had problems. Who has to stick a pin in for someone? or push the pedal because the machine was going to fast? Really? Of course, I didn't realize it at the time. I was a little slow.

On with the story....

We didn't actually start dating until after graduation. Of course, it was "LOVE". About a month later, I went off to attend Ricks College. They had an excellent sewing program there. Brian and I would take turns going back and forth visiting each other and paying the phone bills. Okay, he paid the phone bills, or was it his dad? Hehe. Yep, there wasn't unlimited calling then. Nope, we didn't have cell phones either. Calling cards. I think it was 5 cents a minute. The phone bills were around $90.00. Again, it was "LOVE". About four months later Brian left for his mission to Sendai, Japan. I waited and dated. What can I say, no one quite matched up. We faithfully wrote each other every week.

Two years later....

I am not going to say that it was all roses when he got home because it wasn't. Somehow it all worked out and we were married 6 months later in Provo, LDS Temple. Brian proposed to me in Rock Canyon Park which is the canyon located directly behind the temple.I will forever be grateful for my wonderful husband and the love and support he gives. I am glad that he chose me to be with for eternity. I can't imagine it any other way!

Happy, Happy, Happy Anniversary!!!

I burst out laughing when I read that you were starting to think that Brian had problems when you were in the sewing class. So funny.

You make a great couple!
