Handy Little Manny!

We decided to go with a tool set for Gavin's birthday. He loves it. His first thought was to use the drill on his hair. (He thought it was a hairdryer.) Luckily his hair is so short it didn't get tangled in the bit. Brian showed him how to use it and now a hairdryer will never be as good as a DRILL. He LOVES the hat too.
Try as he might, the candle simply would not blow out. I think his bottom lip was in the way. Hehe. It was still so cute! Emily eventually helped before the cake caught fire.Happy Birthday Buddy! We sure love you!

Meet Spike!

I love birthdays! I start planning birthdays months in advance. I love to pick out a fun cake to decorate and start deciding on gifts. I mean, it is only once a year. It is one of the only times that you get to buy what you "want" and not what you "need". This year for Gavin's birthday I decided to do "Spike". He turned out so cute and Gavin just loves him. He keeps asking me to pick him up and show him. Then he points at the cake and says, "Cake". Followed by giggles. I decided to make it a day early because if I am going to put that much work into something, I want to admire it for at least a day before it is demolished. Happy Birthday little Gavin! (I am sure I will have more pictures to post tomorrow of all the fun!)
